As I read scripture, I usually will gather prayer points and write them down. Today I was meditating on this scripture and decided to write the below prayer and share. I pray it is A blessing to all who reads it.

Father in Jesus name, I pray for everyone bound by the world, Lord I pray you will deliver them from being slaves to sin and from the spirit of this world.
Break the bands of the yoke from upon their lives Lord and cause them to go up right before you. For it is the anointing that destroys the yokes, pour out your anointing oil upon the readers of this prayer. Father, we pray this in Jesus name for your glory and honor AMEN!

Leviticus 26:13
‘I am the Lord your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, that you should not be their slaves; I have broken the bands of your yoke and made you walk upright.’

Think about the joy of a slave set free. God took the children of Israel out of bitter slavery and gave them freedom and dignity. We too can be set free when we accept Christ’s payment that redeems us from sins slavery. We no longer need to be tormented with shame and guilt over our past sins; we can walk with dignity because God has forgiven us and forgotten our sins. But, just as the Israelite’s were in danger of returning to A slave mentality (returning to EGYPT / WORLD), we need to beware of the temptation to return to our former sinful patterns. Don’t be the dog returning to its vomit forsake the sin, repent and allow the blood of Jesus Christ to cleanse you.

~Blessings, Tanicia~

  1. This is so true, we have to be so careful of not turning back. The world is a dangerous place and if you give in to your flesh because you want the desires of the world, you want make it to see Jesus. We must be sin free to see him.

  2. You are right Tan. The Lord said, in your patience possess your souls. If you haven’t forsaken all, that one thing you won’t let go of will ultimately drag you back to your old vomit and to the world.

  3. How shall we who died to sin still live in it? Unless we never died and our relationship with God doesn’t exist.

Therefore I urge you, brethren, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies a living and holy sacrifice, acceptable to God, which is your spiritual service of worship. And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect.
