Warfare

We are in A spiritual war 24/7 rather we like it or not. As Christians we must exercise the authority Jesus left us while we are here on earth. There is a real enemy walking around seeking whom he may devour. (1^st Peter 5:8) This is why our father in heaven provided us with spiritual armor. Ask yourselves “why do we need spiritual armor if we are not at war?” (Ephesians 6:10-18).

The kingdom of GOD has been deeply entrenched in a spiritual war. Like many other wars there are no neutrals, you are forced to support one side or the other.

There is a cost to follow Jesus and unless we bear our cross, and follow him we cannot be his disciple (Luke 14:27). If we are going to be a disciple of Jesus Christ we must utilize all of our weapons of warfare. If we are not utilizing our weapons of warfare, we will live a defeated Christian life. You should want to fight those attacks the enemy sends your way. Stop allowing the enemy to beat you at this spiritual war.

 A few weapons of warfare

Praise- Perfect praise SILENCES the enemy and the avenger.

The word of GOD (sword of truth) – When Jesus was tempted in the wilderness by Satan (Luke 4:1-13), He overcame the devil using the one weapon of THE WORD OF GOD.

The Blood of Jesus- Revelation 12:13 “They overcame him [the devil] by the blood of the lamb, by the word of their testimony, and they loved not their own lives unto death”

Prayer– We are told to pray without ceasing.

The power of our testimony– Rev 12:13

The name of JESUS-The NAME OF JESUS is the AUTHORITY we have as we submit to Jesus Christ.

Fasting- Jesus fasted in the wilderness (in those days he ate nothing), and Satan came at the end of it to test Him. By speaking the Word in the face of great pressure Jesus defeated Satan and was qualified to move in the power of the Holy Spirit as a MAN. In this way He was our perfect example in all things.

It is also important to study Ephesians 6:10-18 We must use every piece of armor to resist Satan’s attacks and to stand true to GOD in the midst of those attacks.

Armor pieces:

• • Belt of Truth

• • Breastplate of Righteousness

• • Shoes of peace (Spread the good news)

• • Shield of Faith

• • Helmet of Salvation

• Sword of Truth (Word of God)

We must continue to commune with GOD daily as he is pouring out his Spirit upon all flesh in these last days. Remember we have power over the kingdom of darkness!

Take back your authority in JESUS name!

Luke 10:19 (KJV) Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.
