Our skills, capabilities, and bodies can serve many purposes; we can either use them as A tool of Righteousness or unrighteousness. The Apostle Paul advises us in Romans to present ourselves to GOD.
Romans 6:13 And do not present your members as instruments of unrighteousness to sin, but present yourselves to God as being alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness to God.
To whom have you yielded your members? To yield means βTo give way too,β it is A decision of your will who you yield your members (limb or part of the body) to. Either An instrument of unrighteousness unto sin or yielded unto GOD.
Those who are Instruments of Unrighteousness: Due to the sin nature which dwells in your mortal body, you will become A slave to sin, and servants of uncleanliness. Sin has reign (power, rule, dominion) over your vessel, which makes you obedient to sin unto death. When sin rules you, by nature, you will obey its lusts and passions. In the end, this vessel will receive the fruit of death as the wages of sin is DEATH!
Those who are instruments of Righteousness: Are yielded to GOD, made alive from the dead, and you are now using your members as instruments of Righteousness unto GOD. By nature, you will become A servant of GOD unto obedience, sanctification, and Righteousness. Sin should not have dominion (reign) over you. Youβre under grace! This vessel will receive the fruit of Holiness & eternal life as the gift (grace) of GOD is eternal life through Jesus Christ, our Lord.
Do not be deceived; examine yourselves to see if you are in the faith. 2nd Cor 13:5
Romans 12:1 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service.
